Jo-Anne Boychuk (nee Kerr), of Port Coquitlam British Columbia, passed away at age 67 in the early hours of March 18th, 2018 after an eight-year battle with congestive heart failure. Survived by her dedicated husband of almost 49 years, Robert Boychuk; daughters Rebecca Peters (Colin) and Robin Boychuk (Dan); grandchildren Caleigh and Jade; and step-grandchildren Ben, Ryan and Reghan. Pre-deceased by her youngest daughter Rosanne in 2005; sister Beverley Kerr in 2017; father William Kerr in 2001; and mother Pearl Elizabeth Wright in 1990. Jo-Anne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 1st, 1951. She and Robert were married on July 26th, 1969 and 10 years later they moved to BC with their three young daughters. In the 1980s and 1990s, Jo-Anne worked as a nurse at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. She had a feisty disposition, a generous nature, and was known for making people laugh. Please join us for a celebration of Jo-Anne’s life, on March 24th, at 2:00PM at the Burquitlam Funeral Home, located at 625 North Road, Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jo-Anne’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or a charity of your choosing.
